The amnesty debate isn't about immigration, it's about
illegal aliens breaking the law,
and if they should be punished under law or given a free pass.
The vast majority favor the latter.
By securing our borders, we protect ourselves from possible terror attacks as
well as protecting our culture.
Our culture is our way of life, our freedom. We need to protect that from
those who want to take it away,
or have distain for our culture that they force us to change it.
If a poor illegal can cross the border untouched, then an educated and motivated
terrorist can also cross.
We don't need "sweeping immigration reform", we need to enforce current laws
first.
